Ghana Premier League clubs have received an amount of $5,437  from Star Times which is the second disbursement to the clubs after an initial payment of $5000, bringing together $10400 received as part of the contract agreement.

The amount comes as a huge morale booster for the clubs as some of them remain financially handicapped and have not even paid their players.

The PRO of Accra Hearts of Oak, Opare Addo, pointed out that the amount has come at a right time particularly for the Phobians.

“I think the money has come at the right time and would help some of the club because we can at least use it to play two away matches”. Opare told ghanaguardian.com

The last payment could be made before the season ends.
