Danbort FC head coach Evans Adjei has admitted that Accra Hearts of Oak were better than his side in the MTN FA Cup quarter finals game.

Adjei insists that he is not downhearted as his players did their best in the narrow 1-0 defeat to the former continental masters.

The second-tier side who eliminated Liberty Professionals gave the Phobians a tough opposition but lost through a 64th minute Vincent Atinga penalty.

“I’m not disappointed because we knew the opposition we were facing and we did everything possible to advance to the next round but things didn’t go as planned.”Adjei told footballmadeinghana.com

“They [Hearts] showed their level of play and that reflected in the end result, I’m not so much disappointed but rather impressed with the performance of my boys.”

“Inexperience cost us dearly, example being the penalty because had the defender taken his time to guide Patrick Razak out of the box, he could have avoided the foul.” He added.

The semi-finals balloting for the MTN FA Cup games will be held next week.
