Former Ghana international, Samuel Osei Kuffour believes the WAFU competition is the best for the local players to showcase what they have to the whole world.
The ex-Black Stars deputy skipper is optimistic that the home-based players can sell their talent to the world through the regional tournament.
“The WAFU tournament is a great opportunity for the locally based players to show the world what they have and also to get into the main Black Stars,” Kuffour told footballmadeinghana.com
“After the draw, everyone was shaking his head because we have a lot to do in our local league and it is a big test for us. If we fail to win this competition it shows our league is not good enough,”
Ghana have been drawn in Zone B alongside Gambia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone and will honor the WAFU games at the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi.
