Division One League board chairman, Owoahene Acheampong says they want to end the season on time to give the teams enough rest.

Acheampong believes the decision will also help the teams which have qualified to the GPL enough time to prepare for the coming season.

“Our mission is on course, we want to earn the second-tier early enough so that the players will have maximum well and also the qualified team will have adequate time to prepare for the GPL,” Acheampong told footballmadeinghana.com

“There are some pending disciplinary cases but the FA committee in charge of that will clear all before the season ends,”

“I hope some of the league games will not be postponed because of disciplinary issues,” he added.

The Ghana National Division One League will enter its 23rd week this weekend.
