Relegated English Premiership side Middlesbrough have joined the race to sign Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu from Udinese.

According to the sun, new Boro boss Gary Monk is keen on bringing the Ghanaian enforcer to the Riverside as he seeks to build a winsome squad to secure EPL qualification.

Badu’s current contract with Udinese ends in the summer of 2020 but has often made it clear that he will welcome a move to England.

Huddersfield and Stoke City are the other two English Clubs who are said to be interested in him.

The 26-year-old midfielder has made over 160 appearances for Udinese in the Serie A netting ten goals.
