The technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Oti Akenteng has stated that no coach has so far been appointed to take charge of any of the national teams as being speculated in the media.
Over the last few weeks, names of various coaches including CK Akonnor, has cropped up as been handed national teams but the GFA boss says there is no iota of truth in it.
“The executives must approve and sign contracts with the coaches before they take over but as I speak now as a Technical Director, no contract has been signed with any coach,” Akenteng told footballmadeinghana.com
“The coaches should not take national teams without signing contract. We have learnt a lot from our mistakes and must not take jobs without contract,”
Oti Akenteng added: “My advise to the coaches is that they should sign contract before taking over as managers of the teams because if you refused to do so and you it is at your own risk,”
The Sports Ministry and the FA recently came out that it is only Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah they have contract with.
