The assistant coach of WAFA, Akakpo Patron has stressed that he is unhappy with the break of the Ghana Premier League.
The 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League will go on one-month recess as the Black Stars B assemble for their imminent CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso as well as the WAFU tournament.
Patron believes the excitement the league has generated so far will go off and people will not have the enthusiasm to go to Stadium and watch games when it resumes.
“With just some few matches to go, I believe the one-month break is too much and it will take away the excitement but once the FA has its program, we have nothing to say and must comply,” Patron told footballmadeinghana.com
“The national team assignments supersedes the league games but I believe there should be proper way of doing things especially at a time the league is getting to an end and clubs are struggling to avoid relegation”
The GFA on Tuesday announced the league will go on a 30-day break to pave way for the Black Stars B to have enough preparation ahead of their CHAN qualifiers against Burkina Faso.
