The Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports in Ghana, Pius Hadzide has confirmed that the winning bonus of the Black Stars has been slashed from $10000 to $5000 in all Nations Cup and World Cup related games.

According to the minister, all monies will be paid in Ghana Cedis equivalent and not in US Dollars.

“The players will receive the Cedis equivalent of $5000 for both the AFCON and World Cup related games. All payments will be made through an account and no cash will be given to anybody again by hand,” Hadzide told footballmadeinghana.com

“The Black Stars team B and the U-17 bonuses also has been slashed from $2000 to $1000 respectively. The Ministry will soon announce the package for the other national teams,”

Ghana’s next assignment is a World Cup qualifier against Congo on September 1, 2017.
