Former Accra Hearts Oak management member, Alhaji Suleman Braimah aka Alhaji Hearts expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and the Kumasi Asante Kotoko fraternity following the death of assistant equipment officer Thomas Obeng Asare in an accident on Wednesday.

Several players were wounded whilst Obeng Asare lost his life in the fatal accident involving the Kotoko team bus at Nkawkaw following their 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies in a Ghana Premier League mid-week game.

“It is very sad but it is God who gives and the same God that takes.  It is my prayer that never again would it happen in Ghana football, they came to play football not war and this has happened,”Alhaji Braimah told footballmadeinghana.com

“Ghanaians should continue to pray for those who are injured and I will advise the GFA and PLB that if possible they should postpone this weekend games especially Kotoko vrs Hearts at the Baba Yara stadium,”

Some of the players who have been discharged from hospital are Baba Mahama, Augustine Sefa, Evans Quao and Sadick Adams.
