Accra Hearts of Oak skipper Thomas Abbey insists the penalty awarded to Bechem United against them in their Ghana Premier League Week 21 encounter was a dubious one.
Abbey is convinced that Referee SK Bortey got it all wrong as the ball did not hit the hand of the player.
“The penalty awarded against us was very bad , I didn’t see the ball hitting the hand of our player but the referee decided just to award a penalty against us,” Abbey stated
“I believe we lost because of poor officiating. We must take the rest of the matches very serious and make sure we win all both home and away.”
Ivorian import Ahmed Toure converted the penalty to hand the Brong Ahafo side all the three maximum points and move them to 7th on the league log.
