English Champions side Barnsley are ready to extend the contract of Ghanaian international Andy Kyere Yiadom.

The versatile defender joined the Reds last summer from Barnet and enjoyed a fruitful campaign which saw him being named into the Championship team of the season.

Swansea City and QPR, have both shown their interest in the 25-year-old but according to Barnsley chief executive Gauthier Ganaye they are bent on tying him down as his contract expires next summer.

“Andy has one-year left on his contract and we are aiming to offer him a new deal,” Ganaye told The Yorkshire Post.

“We are discussing and hopefully we will find an agreement with him.”

“He did a full season last year and we want him to play a big part next season.”

Currently, Yiadom is valued at Two Million Pounds.
