The 2017 Ghana President’s Cup was launched by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Pius Enam Hadzie at East-Legon in Accra on Thursday.

According to the Minister, The game which is played yearly is aimed at honoring the sitting President of the country.

“The game is to celebrate his Excellency, the President of Ghana and this year it will be held at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi,” Hadzie told footballmadeinghana.com.

“The match will be played between the two great football clubs in the country that is Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak. The fans should fill the stadium just as it happened between Ghana and Ethiopia”

Kumasi Asante Kotoko won last year’s edition by defeating Accra Hearts of Oak on penalties.
