Ghana international Yusif Raman Chibsah has disclosed his reasons for leaving Sassuolo and signing a permanent deal with Serie A new-boys Benevento.
The tireless enforcer spent the just ended season with the witches playing 41 games and scoring six goals as they secured top flight qualification for the first time in their history and has joined them officially on a two-year deal.
Chibsah pointed out that it was not easy leaving Sassuolo for good as it was where he started his European career but he had to say good by to the Neroverdi as he seek to shine at the top level.
“It was never ever an easy decision to leave Sassuolo because the club has been like a family to me. It was the first professional club I joined,” Chibsah told footballmadeinghana.com
“I have integrated in the Benevento team so well good and it is great that I continue as I want to work more harder for the club,”
“I am hoping to have a great season and be able to help Benevento secure a permanent stay in the Serie A,”
Chibsah, 24, has also played for Parma and the youth team of Champions Juventus.
