Asante Kotoko striker Sadick Adams has blamed the poor pitch in Dormaa after picking up an ankle injury in the 0-0 stalemate with Aduana Stars.

The star striker hobbled off after the game with a heavily strapped ankle.

Initial reports suggests the former Berekum Chelsea player who has given some impetus to the Kotoko attack could be out for a couple of weeks.

This could come as a massive blow to Kotoko who are desperate to claim points to atone for their poor display in the first half of the season.

Crocked Adams has called out on authorities to upgrade pitches to avoid injuries such as what was sustained in the draw with Aduana.

“It is very important for authorities to concentrate on improving pitches in this country,” he said.

“If you see the injury I sustained today, no one touched me. I twisted my ankle due to the bad nature of the pitch.

“This has been a major problem in the local game and I hope authorities will work hard to improve pitches in this country.”
