Ghana National Division One Zone Three leaders Dreams FC will be hoping to extend their lead on top of the log when they welcome Kpandu Heart of Lions to the Theatre of Dreams, Dawu in a match-day 17 cracker on Wednesday.
Dreams FC are on top of the table with 41 points after 16 games and they are closely followed by Lions who are having forty. A win for Dreams FC will see them opening a four-point gap on top of the table.
The last encounter between the two sides ended 1-0 in favour of Lions though Dreams FC outplayed them and created the most chances. Coming back to their fortress, the “Still Believe” club can bury Heart of Lions by an avalanche of goals if the attackers remain calm in front of the post.
Dreams FC have won all their home games this season without conceding a goal whilst Lions have alraedy lost two away games with the recent being a 1-0 defeat to Uncle T Stars three weeks ago.
Despite injuries to Emmanuel Eli Keke, Emmanuel Hayford and others, Manager Karim Zito has been able to build a winsome teams made up of the youngsters who were promoted from the club’s youth team.
Offensive midfielder Benjamin Ayim who won the man of the match in the first leg will be key to the fortunes of Dreams FC as well as his midfield partners Emmanuel Lomotey and skipper Leonard Owusu.
On the other hand, the Dreams FC defenders should be wary of Anthony Annan who got the only goal of the first leg through set piece as he can hit the ball from any angle with power. The likes of skipper Frank Akoto, Benjamin Agyare, Osman Sackey, Baffour Gyawu, Gordon Akaminko and Prince Cofie must all be marked effectively as they can be dangerous on any day.
Dreams FC remain firm favorites to annex all the maximum points but they should avoid complacency and also keep their back tight throughout the game.
