Accam vows to donate to Mata’s charity

The Ghanaian international promised to offer a fraction of his salary to Common Goal, a charity foundation set up by Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata for the needy.

Accam made the initial vow in November last year but spoke to the Philadelphia Union Media staff about it on over the weekend for a video.

“As a kid I didn’t really have the chances or opportunities and I’m in a good position now to help people,” Accam indicated in the video.

“Common Goal offered an opportunity for players that have the same goals and same aim,”

“As long as we have the strength and resources, I want to help as much or as many people as I can.” He added.

Common Goal already have thirty members who are all professional footballers.
