Kotoko seek young talents at Adu Gyamfi SHS

Asante Kotoko coach, Akakpo Patron has been at Adu Gyamfi Senior High School (SHS) in search of the services of five players who performed brilliantly at the recent Ashanti top eight competition.

Samuel Amankwah, Evans Osei, Godfred Scholes and two other players were targeted by the Kotoko technical team and should negotiations for the go well, the players will join Kotoko’s youth side.

Confirming this on Silver FM, the Sports Master of Adu Gyamfi SHS, Mike Opoku expressed satisfaction with the development of the young footballers and the prospects of them playing for Kotoko. He also urged Kotoko’s Management to pay proper attention to their youth team.

“Yes, they came in. I made it known to them that, they’re making me realise my ambition of letting my players play for Kotoko. I’m happy Kotoko are building their juvenile team with young talents. It’s my boys from Adu Gyamfi. A club like Kotoko should make their juvenile side a thick one to ensure smooth trajectory from youth football to the senior side” said the Sports Master.

Adu Gyamfi SHS has produced some good players like Wahab Adams and Frank Sarfo Gyamfi currently with Kotoko; Masahudu Suleiman, Benjamin Boateng and Kingsley Sarfo of Swedish side, Malmo FF.
