Leicester City boss Claude Puel has justified his reasons for using Ghana international Daniel Amartey against Bournemouth in an EPL week 29 game over the weekend.
Puel decided to omit Danny Simpson from the match-day squad list and gave Amartey the chance to play though he just returned from injury.
Simpson who was not happy with the decision approached Puel but the French man took time to explain his decision to the Press on Wednesday.
“I wanted to see Daniel Amartey because he trained very well in this moment with quality and he give his best.” Puel told the Mirror
Amartey unfortunately got injured in the game in the 23rd minute and his replacement Marc Albrighton caused the penalty which gave Bournemouth the lead in the 1-1 draw.
