Head Coach of Division One League side, Skyy FC, Abdul Malik Mohammed has admitted that even though the delay to the start of the 2017/18 season might have its negative effects, it has been helpful as it has given him time to prepare his team.
The coach of the Daboase based team shared his sincere thoughts with FootballMadeInGhana.com in an interview on Wednesday.
“Sincerely speaking, I will say it has helped because I joined this team just some two weeks ago. And sincerely speaking, it doesn’t take two weeks to prepare a team to play the way everybody will be expecting them to play. So, the delay might have its repercussions but it has helped me a lot”.
Skyy FC are yet to win a game in their pre-season games after seven matches. They were beaten 2-0 in their last game on Sunday by newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, Karela United.
