Ofori pleased with NYCFC move

Ghana international Ebenezer Ofori is elated after his loan move to MLS Side New York City FC from VFB Stuttgart ahead of the 2018 season.

Ofori had been in USA since Christmas but had to wait till yesterday (February 21) before the deal was confirmed.

The budding midfielder insists he is glad with the move to New York City as he seeks to get back to his best again after a torrid time in the Bundesliga.

“I’m feeling good and happy because I’ve been looking forward to start this new chapter with a big club like NYCFC,” Ofori stated after signing the deal

“For me, I just want to be part of a successful team this year, to be happy and to play in and win as many games as I can with my new team.”

Ofori joined Swedish side AIK from New Edubiase in 2013 and went on to make 81 appearances scoring four goals and also being crowned as the best midfielder in the Allsvenskan for 2016 for joining Stuttgart for close to 1.5 million Euros.

He can play as a left back, left winger and anywhere in midfield.
