Division One League side, Sekondi Hasaacas are set to renovate their club house which is in deplorable state. The Giants of the West have decided to turn their abandoned club house to one which can accommodate their players moving in from outside the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.
Speaking Spice FM’s Abednego Abaidoo, a Management member of Hasaacas, Paa Kwesi revealed the club’s intention of raising GHȼ50,000.00 to undertake the project.
“We’ve been spending a lot on hotel bills; even playing our 15 games at home last season; we spent about GHȼ800 on accommodation on every home game, which isn’t a small amount when [calculated at the end of the season]. The best thing now is to renovate the club house and use it to serve its original purpose, camping for home game and serving as accommodation for players” he added.
When asked the amount they will need for the renovation, he disclosed that, “It will cost us GH50,000 to renovate the [structure]. We’ve to change the whole roof, buy wood, change the water closet toilet and others.
The Management member further appealed to Hasaacas supporters to come and help them.
“We will plead with the club’s supporters to come to our aid. Sekondi Hasaacas is not owned by anyone. It’s for the Sekondi-Takoradi people. So, the supporters of the club are needed at this instance. They should all come on board. We’ve written to some cooperate bodies and individuals in the region [for help]”.
