Ex-Vision FC players donate to youth team

Former Vision FC duo Samuel Kwame Owusu and Michael Baidoo have extended their kind gestures to the club’s youth development team.

The pair who started their careers at Vision FC before moving to ply their trade abroad donated football equipments worth thousands of cedis to the team.

According to Kwame Owusu, the eldest among the duo, the gesture was to show appreciation to the club for nurturing them to become who they are now and to motivate the young ones to work hard to achieve their aim.

“We [Michael and I] are proud to be products of this club and whiles we are both on holidays we thought it wise to show our deepest appreciation to the team and motivate the players” he stated.

Westerful Tetteh, the General Manager of the  team thanked the two players for the action and urged others to emulate their examples.

“We are happy to receive these awesome gifts from Owusu [Samuel] and Michael [Baidoo]. What we always tell our players is that they shouldn’t forget where they started their career when life smiles at them in the future, they can return to help nurture talents” Tetteh indicated.

Owusu, an integral player of Serbian Superliga side FK Čukarički last played for the Amrahia based club during their time in the third-tier league.

Michael Baidoo, on the other hand, played a part in the club’s debut season in the GN Bank Division One League before joining Danish giants FC Midtjylland in January 2017.
