National Women’s League side, Immigration Ladies have commenced training ahead of the upcoming season.
Immigration Ladies, one of the household names in Women’s football in Ghana have never won the league since it was first launched in 2012.
Their best outing has always been a semifinal berth in the Sanford Women’s FA Cup. Coincidentally, they always get beaten by their bitterest rivals, Police Ladies.
Player turnout has been impressive, according to Head Coach Douglas Addy, who affirmed their readiness to make a strong impact in the coming season.
“Season after season, we improve. I believe that 2018 will be our year to win the league. As pioneers of the National Women’s League, we feel that it’s time we also had a taste and feel of the league trophy so we have started preparations early” he said.
The team will however break for the Christmas festivities and regroup next year on a date yet to be decided by the technical staff.
