Former Wa All Stars defender, Ismail Ganiu is eyeing an ambitious league title triumph by his new club, Karela United. The versatile defender, who signed for the newly promoted Premier League side, is one of the experienced players in the team at the moment.
He’s looking forward to the league title in their first season. “I want to lift the Ghana Premier League with Karela United. I’ve won it with Wa All Stars and a repeat at Karela United will be a perfect development for me. With the quality of players, we have, I’ve no doubt we can compete with anybody” he boasted.
“As a club, we are taking our preparation stage by stage. We are following a programme from the technical team. It’s been impressive. I think Ghana will see the outcome when we start playing competitive matches” Ganiu told FootballMadeInGhana.com.
He also lauded the managerial structures at the club saying that it’s one of the best in the country. Ganiu further praised Karela’s supporters for their loyalty. “The supporters make you feel loved and the playing body has one objective which is to win, win and win.
“The sense of unity, fighting spirit and the need to keep our status as a Premier League club remains our topmost priority. “Our technical team, management and everyone at Karela United is special”. Karela United are currently in Ivory Coast preparing for the 2017/18 Ghana.
