Police Ladies up for Women’s League

Head Coach of Police Ladies, ASP Darkey has revealed that their target for next season will be to win the 2018 National Women’s League trophy.

“Last season, we didn’t start well as most of our players were recruited into the Police force. They had to go for training, an action that affected us greatly but once they arrived, we all saw the improvement in the team”, Coach ASP Darkey said in a chat with FootballMadeInGhana.com.

Police Ladies, one of the household names in the National Women’s League, won the maiden edition of the Sanford Women’s FA Cup but they failed to retain the trophy last season despite being to the finals of the competition.

In the end, they succumbed to the might of Ampen Darkoa Ladies who also won the league. “We had a meeting after the season. This time we’ve the full compliments of our players as most of them are injury free. We will have an early pre-season coupled with some friendly matches.”

We believe that having been to the finals of the FA Cup twice (winning once), we’ve now established ourselves as a force to reckon with, hence the league trophy is the ultimate for next season”, he added.
