Ghana Premier League Clubs will be deducted points if they refuse television coverage of their games.
This decision was taken during the Ghana Football Association Exceutive Committee summit which ended on Wednesday.
In an address, the President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi emphasized that punitive measures will be taken against clubs who flout the rules.
”Clubs that prevent our television rights owners StarTimes from telecasting their matches will lose the points for that game” Nyantakyi stated.
”We saw last season that some clubs prevented StarTimes from telecasting their matches and all these shall be punishable by points deduction if they happen again,”
Clubs such as Aduana Stars and Bechem United prevented StarTimes from telecasting their match live getting to the end of the season.
