Communications head of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Daara says Coach Kwesi Appiah is trying to build a new team following Ghana’s inability to make it to next year’s mundial in Russia.
Daara stressed that Appiah is building a new team ahead of the 2019 AFCON in Cameroon and Ghanaian will see new faces in the team.
“Now the coach is putting together a new team after our failure to qualify for the world cup. The new players we used for the last two games showed that they can do the job, our focus is now on the 2019 AFCON” Sannie told the Press in Saidi Arabia
“All the players who did not get the chance to play against Uganda in Kampala will feature against Saudi Arabia in the international friendly.”
The Black Stars will clash with the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia in an international friendly at Jeddah this evening (5pm GMT).
