Zamalek’s new signing Benjamin Acheampong will be out of action for not less than eight weeks after sustaining an injury in training.
The Ghanaian striker is said to have torn a muscle after undertaken a scan and he will be out for two months.
Zamalek signed Acheampong from Dakhleya in June this year though Smouha also made an annoucement a week before that they have attained the signature of the 26-year-old.
Acheampong’s injury will be a big blow for new manager Nebosja Jovovic who has started building his team.
The former Kotoko forward netted 10 goals in 29 games for Dakhleya after moving from Jordanian side Aqaba in July 2016.
