The finale to Dreams FC’s championship winning season took place at the Living Room in East-Legon Accra on Saturday night, with the club’s first awards handed out at a glittering event attended by the players, club officials and some of the top men in Ghana football

Dreams FC PLAYERS PLAYER OF THE SEASON
Mercurial midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey became the first recipient of the Dreams FC player of the season award. The talented central midfielder played such a big part in helping the club to win the Zone Three title and book their ticket to next season’s Ghana Premier League.
Lomotey was the point of reference in most of Dreams FC’S tough games which included a one-man show against Vision FC in Amrahia and Nania FC at Legon.
The gangling midfielder who netted eight goals in the campaign was voted ahead of experienced striker Eric Gawu for the prestigious award by his teammates.
Lomotey was not present at the occasion as he is with the Black Stars B team in the ongoing WAFU Tournament. His prize was received on his behalf by his colleague Mozart Adjetey.
The midfielder also took home GHC 1000.
Dreams FC YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON.
Left-back Montari Kamahini who played every single minute in all of Dreams FC’s thirty league games won the accolade for the young player of the year.
Montari was among 12 youngsters who were promoted from the Dreams FC youth team (Still Believe FC) to the senior side for the Division One campaign.
The budding talent won five Man of the match award and showed his class in the 1-0 defeat to Sporting Mirren at Teshie where his output was above every player on the field.
He pulled 17 votes as against six by Maxwell Arthur who was outstanding in all the 29 games he featured.
Montari took home an amount of Seven Hundred Ghana Cedis as his prize.
Dreams FC TOP SCORER
Experienced Striker Eric Gawu banged in 13 goals which saw Dreams FC lifting the Zone Three League Trophy.
This was the second time Gawu has hit double figures for the club with the first one being two seasons ago when he banged in 17 goals.
Gawu took home an amount of cash which was a personal donation from Dreams FC Executive Chairman Kurt ES Okraku whilst a clothing company will offer him attires for one full full years as part of his prize.
