Match Review Committee throws away Danbort second protest against Dreams

The Match Review Committee of the GFA have dismissed a second protest lodged against Dreams FC by Danbort FC.

Danbort who lost to Dreams by a lone goal in a first round encounter at Dawu on April 30, 2017 protested that they were cheated as they had a clean goal disallowed whilst Dreams FC were also awarded a dubious penalty in the encounter.

But after watching the match video, the review committee headed by Welbeck Abra Appiah concluded that the alleged Danbort goal did not cross the line in the 32nd minute before being cleared whilst they also stated that the penalty awarded to Dreams FC between the 50th and 60th minute was a clean one.

Dreams FC are currently on top of zone three with 63 points followed by Lions who have 55.
