The Black Stars of Ghana have moved up nine places in the latest Coca Cola/FIFA ranking after their recent performance in the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
The men’s senior national team, prior to Thursday’s edition of the ranking were placed 54th in the world but their impressive performance in the last AFCON pushed them nine spots higher and a place above in the African ranking moving from 9th to 8th.
Seven-time African Champions Egypt occupy the 23rd position and top the African chart whiles 2017 AFCON winners Cameroon moved 29 places to occupy the 33rd spot.
2017 AFCON bronze winners Burkina Faso occupy the 38th position in the world and sixth in Africa where as dethroned champions Ivory Coast dropped to 47th and ninth in the world and Africa respectively.
